Sanctum Design provides architectural and design services to Sydney metropolitan and eastern seaboard areas, including rural and selected off-shore locations. Specializing in sustainable housing, we provide design, documentation and administration services for individual homes, multi-unit housing and other special use buildings where sustainable solutions are required.
Development approvals
Sanctum Design will provide full co-ordination and submission of development applications, general planning and construction permits. Our network of leading consultants including Town Planners, Landscape Architects and Environmental Consultants ensure best case practice for complex and sensitive sites. A confident understanding of many metropolitan and regional councils, ensures that compliance requirements are rigorously addressed in the design and submission processes.
Contract Administration
Contract administration is provided via our registered architects or building designers to improve the management and accounting of payments and control of building quality and to ensure that the contract is carried out to the full intent of the contract documents.
Whilst acting in this capacity, we are required to act impartially to facilitate the successful implementation of the construction process. Further information and details on Contract Administration services will be provided upon request.
ESD Analysis
All homes designed by Sanctum will achieve an energy rating of between 4.5 & 5 stars under NatHers, Accurate or equivalent energy rating scheme. In NSW our homes are required to meet a 40% reduction of household energy consumption and a 40% reduction in water usage. As Sanctum specializes in the design of low energy homes, we provide all necessary certification to exceed these conservative targets. For more complex projects, our consultants can provide detailed analysis of thermal energy performance and environmental impact analysis including:
